The Position: Data Warehouse Methodology Manager

This is a full-time position, working in Astana, Kazakhstan. No remote work for this position. You will be working full-time for the Ryte team under the supervision of the Ryte team lead.


The Role:

The Data Warehouse Methodology Manager is a key pioneering position responsible for defining and building the data warehouse platform and solutions in a modern cloud data environment to ensure databases are properly structured for Data Analytics development and optimized for accuracy and efficiency.

In this position, you will join an international team of data and AI experts, graphic designers, web developers, SEO experts and will participate in building a great client experience for our future customers. You will ensure that you create governance, scope, schedules, work plan, risk management plan, and deliverables that will align with our client requirements and address the needs and interests of all stakeholders. You will co-ordinate with other team members Including tech developers and project coordinators. Your commitment to team collaboration, perfect communication, and quality Is crucial.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the strategic business objectives and current state Data Analytics ecosystem infrastructure, development, stakeholders, resources, challenges to be able to create and maintain the data warehouse administration, methodology, processes, and tools.
  • Oversee the data design/redesign and create the database architecture and data repositories.
  • Establish data warehouse best practices including quality assurance, automation, code reviews, quality checks, and data alarms
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, release manager, and data analytics teams to develop strategies and requirements in support of the enterprise data needs
  • Partner with data analytics teams to define and document standards and best practices for data ingestion, cleansing, integration, modeling, quality, and queries
  • Continuous monitoring and testing of data warehouse using accepted test methods including developing test cases, scenarios, and scripts.
  • Regularly update the PMO IT Director and development teams on the status of data warehouse operations and maintenance.
  • Escalate to executives all strategic issues that affect the data warehouse integrity and security.
  • Collaborate with PMO officers and DA developers in maintaining a healthy team working environment.
  • Develop contingency plans with the PMO officers and DA development teams when a risk arises that could potentially affect data warehouse integrity and security.
  • Participate and engage in team problem-solving events related to solving data warehouse issues, including root cause analysis and formulation of solutions and controls.
  • Identify issues concerning the data warehouse access, connectivity, and security and be able to work with a problem-solving team to resolve those issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business; or related discipline
  • 5-10 years of experience in designing, developing, and supporting data warehouses pipelines in a Data Engineering, Data Warehouse Engineering, ETL, or Data Architect role
  • Strong understanding of Data Analytics Life Cycle
  • Experience implementing Data Warehouse in Microsoft Azure
  • Experienced in the use of collaboration and integration tools (such as SharePoint, Jira, Confluence, Slack, and Git)
  • Proficient at Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Proficient in PM tools such as MS
